I'll do ya one better.. I just installed this in the k9.

That one in your add is no Bueno only 1300 lumens low and 1700 high. The one below is 2800 low and 4000 high, best bang for your buck on the market.

I just got Bill to install one on his HD he loves it. I'm about to buy another for my other big dog. I will admit I don't have a single mile in it but it looks well made and I've tried all the LED Options and this looks the best. I think Bill has some mileage on his.

I'm thinking of that too. Only worried if it goes shit while on trip, I would end up with no lights and new pulb from a gas station won't help much...

Yea...i know I thought about that too I don't do much riding at night though on trips I try not to ride roads at dark I don't know. I've also never had a light go bad on me and noticed. One went bad on a trip and hell I didn't even notice road 2 more days without it working just never road late in the day. Didn't figure it out until I got home then I looked at my pics from the trip and was able to figure out it went bad on day 2 of a 4 day trip haha

With Amazon prime I can usually have it delivered within 1-2 days unless I'm in the middle of nowhere. But probably have it delivered same day to somewhere I could ride to that day.

Worst case Ya could buy an extra to keep in your pack they aren't that big and wrap them up in a couple of your spare shirts.

I tried Curtis and Docs I got more mileage on Curtis than Docs but neither of them I enjoyed quite honestly. Docs lasted that trip up to Dave's and Back about 750 miles and fell apart started wobbling on the bushing and woukd juat bounce around in the bucket light was bouncing down the road, not good. This is a sealed unit no fans..no bullshit.

Also when I compared the lights the old ones you would put on high beam and it light the ceiling of the garage. With this LED the lense is designed for LED so it keeps it lower. More light on the road is good

I'll have a few thousand miles by April I'll report back.

I even wrote a review for it for Raked mag. It's the most light I've ever seen coming out of a headlight. Great buy...

Eric talked me into this one as well and I have it on my list to get.

I have an LED H3 in now and I like it but it just doesn't have the focus that I'm looking for.

I was at a rally once and noticed A bike pull in a few campsites down. I was impressed on how bright and clear the light was I went up to ask about it and he said it was the Daymaker projector.

It still doesn't fix the problem of how the light emits. Slaping a LED bulb in a halogen reflector housing is just a bandaid. It will work just not as efficient.
LED lights are designed to be used in a projector lense. This also ensures you don't blind the oncoming driver.

Also yours are more expensive and you need to buy 2!

Either way I need to get miles on the unit before I make everyone get it.. Haha

Notice the below mention of the shield blocking the top half of the light. This goes back to the old LED I had would light up the ceiling in the garage this new led lense does not.

From xenon website:

Projector: From the light source, light bounces inside an elliptical housing before escaping to a concave lens that straightens out the light path directing each beam in the same uniform direction. This provides better lighting because light output is more tightly controlled and all light is directed through the concave lens. You will also notice a shield in a projector lens that blocks light from illuminating the top half of the light pattern. This blocking of light is most commonly known as the light cut-off and is responsible for the sharp beam pattern associated with HID lighting. A projector lens wastes less of the light source and provides more beams of light pointing in the right direction over reflector based lighting.[\quote]

Ya just split them with a buddy, and the one I showed has LED's 180* apart and you can rotate them within the H4 mounting plate, I haven't seen any other LED's that allow you to do this, for the best projection. As far as blinding the oncoming traffic, I don't ride at night, but I do like to be seen during the daylight riding.:old2::chopper:

Thank you Th3Infamous for the link. I purchased the black version of the same light. Installed it today and it looks like a winner. Thanks again.

I have on my bike and I have ridden at night. As bright as it is I thought I'd blind on coming traffic but I didn't and I have 2 4 1/2" driving lights too. These are way better than a single LED and really light up the road.... Would Eric and I lie to you? If ya don't like them Eric will give you your money back!
