Go get a Daytec Softail RSD it's cheaper than what BD will want for a K-9 frame. Call Phil Day and tell him what you are planning to do and they can help you out. Call your local DMV and ask them what the laws are in your state as far as modifying frames. Here in NJ you can change anything you want as long as you keep the original neck with the VIN. So no matter what you use for a frame, as long as it has that original neck you can keep it registered as a ridgeback and not go through too much BS.

Now Bradley, I think it might be wise if you read the fine print on Chopper117 information given!

The man is asking for a K-9 frame! "SOFT TAIL"! You know, like your wife has. :cheers:

Chopper117 has an '05 Ridgeback! You know, like your wife has when you've pissed her off! :lol:

Just wanting to keep things straight around here. Like with Brads wife and all. :eek:

:roll::roll::roll::roll:

Sorry PanHead not trying to hijack your thread.

dead :cheers:
Now that's funny! :roll::roll::roll:
And how did you know my wife has a soft tail? :confused: Oh, you must be talking about her Mastiff! :D

See, I'm lazy. It would be really nice to have a K9 Frame, then hopefully alot of the mounts for Brakes, Tank, etc is the same. I'm not much of a welder if ya know what I mean!

Anyways, thanks all for the replies. The Rigid isn't all that bad, but a Softail would be bitchin.

Thanx

That's what I was getting at. Daytec has the jigs to make K9 frames, tell them what you are doing, and they may be able to send you a softail frame where everything just bolts up. See if they will stamp your VIN on there if you send them your old neck.
