Looking for Baffle Mod How-To

I remember reading a post about modifying Big Radius baffle's that included welding in the washers...I have looked and cannot find the post. Did I dream this or was it for real?

the other same type mod for the big radius pipes is to take out the stock baffle and cut it in half
