oh crap. You need it sent to Norway. That's an expensive shipping bill. There are some BigDog groups over there. Nobody has any?

I couldn't find the thread, but I did find some pictures. The first thing I did was cut up some cardboard to fit over the battery and wiring, then I used some masking tape over all that. Then I went over all that with aluminum tape. Then I put a heavy coat of wax on the tape.

Cover everything with towels and tape. Get some fiberglass matting and resin, and start spreading. The fiberglass I used was thick, so if you use the thinner stuff, put several layers on.

After it drys all night, it will lift right off.

Take a marker, and draw out how big you want it and cut it out. Bend some metal and fasten it to the pan to hold it in place.

From here, I used a two part foam mixture. The stuff you mix together, and it grows to 10 times bigger than you want, and hardens. Then formed it with a grinder to get the shape I wanted. Sorry, could find a picture of that. Then I interrogated a gel pad and foam.

And covered.
Same seat, just tried it on my bike.

Thanks for the info. I`ve been a painter most of my life though. So i`m familiar with fiberglass etc. But the seat i have is damaged. So thought i`d get a hold of an oem seat to use while i fix the old one with some new leather.

Get ahold of Eric at HDM. I was in the back of their wearhouse yesterday. He has a bunch of old seats. And they ship over seas, I believe.
