Look what I found dangling under the battery box

Was adjusting the clutch when I noticed a part with a broken bracket. When I first saw it I thought it was part of the ele. System. After pulling the bracket off I figured out it was some kind of little air pump. I'm assuming it's for air ride. The little plastic line had been cut or rubbed in two. Couldn't find a switch anywhere for it nor could I see where it went into the shock. I noticed there were two underneath the bike (one has loose bushings) but did not feel a valve anywhere. Anyone know what it is and ho to hook it up?image.jpg

I did a search but nothing really comes up (that I could find) about the individual components that are needed to make it work. As I said the line on mine was cut no gauge that I can see and I didn't find a valve on the shock to hook up the line.

Anyone know of a micro fish or schematic of the system to see where all parts run and how they are connected?

Thanks

Only a few parts to the system, compressor which you have, air shock and the solenoid valve.

Not sure what you mean by plastic was clipped? Should have been a braided steel air hose.

The air pressure gauge was not standard equipment, sold as an option. Gauge, line and bracket about $150

To make the pump work on mine you have to push the start button than the high and low beam button for head light it turns the pump one.. Then if you push the start button again the high and low beam lights work.

image.jpg image.jpg The little black tube was the only air line coming out of the pump you can see in first pic. Second pic is broken bracket.

To answer a few questions the bike is a 2006 mastiff. Got under the bike and I can feel a valve anywhere. As I said before looks like the line was cut and possibly air shock swapped out. I seen one on the bay for 549.00 might think about going that route once I figure out if the pump works. I'm just one of those guys that does not like shituff unhooked that is not supposed to be. If I the there I want it to work and be installed correctly

Thanks a bunch for all the help it's been very useful trying to figure all this out. Does anyone know if there is a source for the broken bracket to buy a replacement?

What year bike?07 k9 with air ride is bolted up behind the horn on the left side. Should have an air line going in one of your shocks unless it failed and was replaced. Mine is controlled with the high Low switch for the light.

The black tube running behind the horn is the air feed tube. It's plastic.

Hey PK ,Where did they mount that compressor and also where is the solenoid? Looks like by the picture it's stuffed into your battery box? Man thats a squeeze. I always wanted to add the air ride system but the stock BDM one is just so damn expensive.

I actually have never seen a BD with the factory air ride.

Mine has it but some arsehole pulled the shock rather than replace it. Temperamental or not mine will be fixed/rebuilt to as it was/should be. I hate it when cheap asses pull shit off rather than fixing it right! Sorry it's late and I'm in no mood to mince words.
