So…. It’s right around the corner, I used to go religiously! It’s been hit and miss over the past 5 years or so. But last time I went I found out it has taken the number one spot and is the largest motorcycle rally, beat out Sturgis and Daytona…. Anyway, I live about 35 minutes from Galveston and plan on going this year, wondering all of who else is going and maybe meeting up and putting some faces with these screen names… maybe meeting up with Rodger and Rick again, met up with them fellas a few times, love them guys!

I request
There’s a group of chopper riders on facebook right in that area. They get together all the time for rides. BigDogs/Ironhorse/ all the big name chopper rides. Choppers of Texas is the group. Check them out.
I requested, we shall see what happens, there’s a lot of iron horse ones, from what I understood big dog trumped everyone on the chopper circuit. I had an iron horse, really nice bike, but wasn’t a fan of that revtek engine

Well if you had a RevTech on your Ironhorse most likely a replacement. Ironhorse used S&S engines.
Negative, iron horse and big bear were sluts and used whatever they had, I got the build sheet on mine and that’s what it came with. My uncle was 50% owner of big bear choppers and he is who told me about big dog and how all their stuff is solid and the same across the board as to where all their others aren’t and iron horse and his company he helped create where two of the names he dropped and specified different engines and trans. But I have seen quite a few iron horses with revtek engines… but from what I gathered and can clearly see, big dogs models all had the same aside from frames, they used two different frames and just about all their choppers, and when I say choppers I mean choppers not these mastiffs, bulldogs etc that others call choppers

Interesting. What year & model did you have? My ‘02 Texas Chopper came with a S&S107 right from the factory. Also BigDog primarily used S&S engines but in the early years you could upgrade to a Total Performance (TP) engine for a little more money. I have a TP 107 on my Vintage Sport chopper. And I do call it a chopper.
 :chopper:

I had an 06’ I don’t remember the model but it was a ridgeback with a 300, but this was about 07’ when I talked to him about all this and didn’t buy my first big dog u til 10’ and then the iron horse in 11’…. Times got tough so I got rid of the iron horse, it was just a bar hopper as to where my K9 I literally rode it across the country numerous times.
