Had a customer bring in his jet pump for his water well. Pitched a fit that we were 1 week back logged on shop repair so I brought his pump to the back and tore it down, made a list of parts and gave him a quote to fix. He went ballistic saying I was screwing him with price gouging. He demanded I put his pump back together and he would go else where and have it fixed. I think I used 2 tubes of green lock tite reassembling that pump!

If the guy was such a dick, I would have put it back together with J B Weld !!

Your a nicer man then my mechanic, he charged for the tear down (time and expendables) diagnosing my outboards (both beyond rebuild) but I still had to pay him for his time figuring it out.
