Lights out!

I have a 2000 Pro Sport. The headlight and front running lights do not come on at startup. The turn signals work fine out of the switch both front and rear and the stop light comes on. I know a little more than nothing about electrical. Can someone give me a trouble shoot list to go through to run this down? BTW...Do these bikes have a fuse panel?...

Some questions to consider;

1. Do the lights ever come on?
2. If the low beam is out, will the high beam come on?
3. Have you checked the filiments in the bulbs in the turn signals? I think you don't have the LEDs in 2000, but I could be wrong on that.

It's odd for that combination of things to be wrong at the same time. Is there an electronic harness Controller on you bike? I'm not too sure about the configuration in 2000 as my tech manual really doesn't go that far back.

But have you checked the top of the ehc for any faults?

Have you pulled the tank to check the wiring connectors?

But we must all watch... he's talkin about a 2000 prosport and therefor a great deal different than most of ours.

I think those bikes use the HD stuff. The electrical is controlled by the Thunderheart EHC. Maybe Vickie can give a little more insight.
