left side petrol cap

Hi Guys
after reading a thread or should i say numerous to and fro from various people advising the LEFT side petrol cap could actually be undone (being a new BIG DOG rider)I proceeded to force it and Presto it turned(AFTER MUCH FORCE)and now I get a full tank . . . . How many others are not aware this is a usable filler cap . . . . READ AND LEARN

When I bought my 2002 Wolf they told me that the left side was a dummy....... It was I that enlightened them that the left side was a gas cap...... It just loosens clockwise. They still told me not to use it,that the gas would spill out on the left side.There is a crossover, it just takes a while.Use your left side!
