Well one side of my forks is leaving a little oil on the fork tube.

Mine leaked like that, I took it in and BDM changed it under warranty and a few days later it was doing the same thing!!!

A very light sheen or mark is normal and may show up on one side more than other, normally the left side due to leaning over on the Kick stand.

When it become wet or showing drips or flow lines, time to have it look at closer.

Good luck

^cutter is right on it, the seals rarely go bad on these bikes, the covers however will hold water or whatever after you wash it and will deposit what looks like oil from a few feet for weeks...drove me nuts, finally took it in, the tech unscrewed the cover and cleaned the moisture out...problem solved. One of those jar opener rubber pads works well...

The covers also need to be removed and cleaned...
They just unscrew and slide up.

I did not see a set screw...

Pro...not so sure about that.
I am on my third set of fork seals, the current ones being the "new and redesigned" ones from the puppy farm, that were installed two weeks ago. So far I am not having any problems, and hopefully these will do the trick.

Good luck Tx...

I let the dealer do my 10,000, and they used 10 weight instead of 30...
Still didn't leak, but would bottom out on our great MI roads.
I got 30 weight now, just no scoot :bang:  :bang:

To get the cap covers off just wrap your hands around the cap and twist off. The entire cap screws on/off.
