leaking primary

Got my bike back from the shop. They went through the clutch basket and some other things. I noticed today that the primary is leaking pretty heavily. It was good for a couple weeks after the shop. Guess I'll be putting a new oring in this weekend. Wondering if anyone uses any kind of rtv sealant along with the oring to ensure a complete seal. I don't want to do this twice.

have had better luck without sealant, but have used in the past. when mine leaked the worst (which really wasn't alot), when i opened it up, the o-ring had been seated cock-eyed and had been sliced into many pieces by the primary cover.
