If you're having problems with leaking fork seals, I've found that replacing the stock fork bushings and seals with Harley-Davidson bushings and seals for a 41 mm conventional front end do a much beter job of holding up between service intervals.
This is only for conventional front ends not inverted front ends. If your having fork leaks, when the forks are disassembled, make sure that the bore of the lower fork slider is inspected. when the teflon coating on the lower fork bushing is worn off, it can wear the inside of the slider creating a loose fit between the fork tube and the slider. all of the wear I've seen is on the back side of the bore in the silder down low where the bushing rides.
If you raise your front wheel off the ground, grasp thge top and bottom of the fork slider and try to move it fore and aft. If you get a lot of motion, you should havew the bushings inspected. If the teflon coating is worn off, you need new bushings.
