Does anybody have the L.A.F. exhaust on their bikes. If so, was there tuning issues with the short length? Plus are these pipes really that much louder than V&H Big radius?

I have the LAF pipes, the dealer installed them, so not sure about tuning issues.

As for loudness, they are obnoxious loud, you will also see flames shoot out of them. The one draw back, is there is a little power loss with them. But I love the look, and sound of them.
Here is a pic of them on my bike.

Looks good... Do you have a side pic? Flames... Will they do that if it's too running a rich fuel mixture? Do they pop and crack bad when you let off the throttle? Sorry for all the dumb dumb questions... Would you go with a different set up if you could redo it?

You only see the flames when it's dark out. It seems to be set up correct as far as I can tell on mixture. The dealer did it, and put it on the dyno.

Yes they will pop, and crack when you let off the throttle, I wouldn't say bad, but about what you would expect.

I looked at a ton of pics of bikes, and pipes, and as soon as I saw these, the LAF pipes were the only ones I wanted, nothing else would do for me. They help make my bike, and the look I was going for when I envisioned the way I wanted the bike to look.

Here is a side pic.

I have them on my 2000 Husky too. Yes, you will shoot flames. I went from a set of V&H Short Shots to these with a set of torque cones. I do notice a little less power, and I have had to mess with the carb more than I would like to. I also drag the front pipe on right hand turns. They were cheap, they are literally "Loud As Fuck" but I am planning on taking them off and going with a better set of pipes.

This isnt the best picture, but this was about 2 weeks ago when I was getting the bike ready to go to Laconia (the oil can is to catch the leak I was having)

Lots of people will like the way your bike looks. The tyres are not the same, won't it pose some problem?

You use your own transmission bolts...right? Just making sure, none were provided in the mounting hardware. Thanks for your help Reaper:2thumbs:

Hi xrott,
I didn't install the pipes, the dealer did, but I think they did use the same bolts. I think I also remember them saying they had to modify the bracket a little bit. On your bike you may not need to do that though. Wish I could be more help.
