kuryakyn hyper charger: your thoughts?

Energy One
I really wanted a spike air breather, but i feel like a lot of people have them, and they're like 900 bucks said and done, so I had 450 dollars credit at JP, so I walked in, got some head bolt covers and a kuryakyn hyper charger. I dont know if theres anything hyper or charging in nature about it, but I sure do think it looks sharp Have you guys heard anything about these? I got it put on tonight, and i think it's pretty sweet. It's stage one, and I dont know what kind of boost I'll get in HP, but I've heard between 9 to 15. I'm running at 124 with a 630 cam, so I'll see what happens. I'll post a video tomorrow of it in action.

Thanks guys! I took it for a ride today, and my only complaint is that the S and S motors apparently have a lot less vacuum than say a stock harley motor, so the butterfly's really dont turn the full 90 degrees on it. It still looks really cool because they turn somewhat when you throttle, but not like you'd see on a "normal" factory motor on another bike. It DOES however take in a LOT more air, and you can feel the pull even that much more when you rip back a little bit. It's a good thing that my uncle is a mechanical super genius however, because the brackets and mounting equipment really wasnt very user friendly. We had to manufacture a cover for a vacuum port on the hardware, and re-rout the crank case breather. One thing I do like about this is that on the stock air cleaner, the breather hose goes right back into your intake, so youre breathing in oily crap, and this way you're just spitting it back out into the atmosphere. I'll get a video up when I get home from work.

I kept the BD air filter housing and bought a lovered cover for the front. Works for me. Not as cool looking as yours but then again not as expensive either.

As far as Hyperchargers go, you picked the right one. :2thumbs: That one will support prolly up to 130 hp. :)

I have been running one since 2003 on a 107ci S&S. No complaints, kinda cool how the butterfly's move with intake vacuum. can't say I felt any power increase but it did feel like it pulled smoother.
