Key fell Out

Lost my one and only Key while riding yesterday. It fell out while riding.

Texted Donna, hopefully they can make one off the number on the cylinder

I did see a cool one on the HDM Inc. site. Has a d-ring that goes around the spark plug wire. If she has the key you might want to tell her to send one of them to. Just a thought

They are a FANTASTIC necessity !

Just order a whole new key switch. Comes with 2 keys and they wont fall out again.

Guaranteed not to fall off with d-ring or other clip type on plug wire. This is what I used with my first BD and now the K9.

Easily solved with a carabiner

Clips and carabiners do work, but if the key falls out, the switch is shot. HDM's new key switch will stop the key from coming out in the first place. Jmo

I have a key, not sure it will work but I would be happy to drop in the mail to you if you want to give it a shot? Says "BD42" at the top toward the plastic...

I agree it would be best to replace the switch, but have better things to do at the moment. I’ll just clip to the plug wire for now.

On my first BD, an 03 Pit, I actually installed a round key switch after the BDM ignition wore out. Figured it locked the key in and I would never need to change it out again. Only used the two wires needed and it worked fine. Bought it of flea bay.
