I went 3 inch primo Rivera 7 years ago, have 30,000 on it, no problems. FWIW, using a four inch or wider belt drive puts excessive outboard pressure on the output shafts. This will very negatively affect the life of the shafts, bearings, and seals. They also limit road clearance I've found out the hard way even with my 3 inch.
