I'm getting desperate, anyone have or know someone where I can hunt in Kansas. It would just be me and I would certainly pay the landowner for the privilege.

thanks Franco, I have been on their website for public land for hunting. it's a little difficult to identify exact areas where you can map out how to drive to, but I will keep trying.

We hunted Goodland Kansas area for years. On land of a friends friend. Try county seat websites and ads in newspapers. Good luck!

Really? I went to vo-tech school in Goodland. I mainly hunt just East of there, between Norton and Hill City.

SKOGDOG

One of the old ones.
Kansas has a Walk in Hunting Access program (WIHA). These are designated free hunting areas. Google for links to the particulars.
Here is a link to a map of the designated areas: http://ksdot.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=a6467b7c4f714053ab63003607674413
To use the map, click on a yellow bordered hunting area and post the id number in the search option---it will then give you an address location for your maps program. I am not huge on tech, but this map is way cool, and probably does more than I found....
I have a good friend who lives in Bison, KS, near Hays....he provided this info when I contacted him about your query.

RETIRED
Stephen, you can head on down to Suffolk and set on the front porch and shoot the critters if you want.

Zoom in and you can see the deer standing in the wood behind the house.

I just like my Freedom
the problem is most of the outfitters that have access to land are booked up through December. I will keep trying, I will eventually find something.
Thats why we always opted for the WIHA. Glen Elder has quite a few. We scouted and parked overnite. First light we were walking. Oh, free kinda helped too! No land ownerz to deal with. Give Mitchell Co. a call for the details.

thanks Harry that's my plan if I can't find any private land.
