I was wondering if anyone has put any spoked wheels on their K9? I kind like the look of a hight spoke count wheel. Like a gloss black and chrome look. Does anyone have pics?

i believe Ken (shovelcowboy) has a set on his build. biggest thing is always having to re-tune the wheel to keep it running true and making sure the spokes are tight. also with the high torque of the bigger inch motors, it would be possible to rip the spokes out of the rim. just seems like it would be more trouble than it is worth.

Nice bike, but damn!! I hate spoke rims!!!!! When you clean the bike or detail it the spokes take 10 times longer and the spoke base are stainless steel but there chrome plated 304 stainless so eventually if you do not spend 8 hrs a yr waxing and cleaning them they will start to corrode . Back when I had my HD Lowrider the previous owner had a spoke front and a bad boy rear rim. The spoke front's spoke bases already had slight hints of rust and it was not a yr old. I put on a billet alum rim to match the rear and was so happy! That was 1997 and I will never do spokes again!!! This is a pic of the rim I replaced the spokes with. This was Sturgis 2001. Damn how time fly's! Wish I would have kept that bike. Would have been great for the wife. That was her 1st Sturgis trip!!!

I have 80 spoke rims from American Wire Wheel on my bike .
There was a post I think by reaper on here somewhere of a guy on a chopper
pulling a wheelie. I think they are durable enough for me !

I think those spoked wheels look sharp on your BD.

I have had spoked wheels on my Vintage for 15 years. The rear 80 spoke replaced the original 60 spoke at year three. Is that durable enough?
