K & M Oil Filters - Do you use them? Why?

I have just purchased an 07 K-9 to go along with my HD Street Glide. I have always used Amsoil filters in my Harleys but I notice many use K&M oil filters on their BD's. Will you tell me why you use one? How do you clean them when you change oil?
Thanks for your input!

I have the K&P (billet) and also run Mobil1 V-Twin oil. Put them in/on at 2500 miles...bike has almost 4500 on it now. Bike runs MUCH cooler with this combo...and much easier to start with the syn oil. I'm very happy with the combo. Clean the K&P as per included instructions at oil change. I also have a Scavenger. Ride safe!

There have been many discussions about this filter. Bottom line is that it filters better offering better protection for the engine. It has the highest rate of flow of any filter available and does have the ability to add additoinal oil cooling. And last but not least they look damn nice.
I sell them on my group buy page at this link. http://valuetec.startlogic.com//page12.html It is the same filter the HD uses.
Cleaning is a snap. Carb cleaner, brake cleaner, anything.

Thanks to all of you for replying. I am ordering a K&P from Mad Dog today. Great thread Gas Man. I am not a mechanic although I do not mind working on my bikes to a certain degree but I had to read your posts about filters twice so my small mechanical brain could take in more than it did the first time I read it!!! thanks for sharing.

No problem. Just try to pull my own weight around here. And I've put on a few lbs.
