Got this Joker machine gas cap off ebay. Swap out threads and with a little modification with the dowel pin it works great. YES you still have the ethanol rubber problem but this cap gives you more area to grab and better grip. Looks good to (my opinion of course).

You drill a hole for the new dowel in your old rubber threads, the hole will be right where the o-ring groove is and all I did is grind the dowel down some so it doesn't interfere with o-ring, its long so plenty of meat there. On the other side of the plastic threads just a little plastic removal to make it sit in flush.Was wondering what you did about the dowel....so you drilled it and moved it over and used epoxy?
