So I bought my boy a BMX bike for christmas, paid a pretty penny for what I thought would be all that he needed? He has already removed the brakes, changed the wheels and has customized the handlebars.. BAD Habits must be passed down ????? lol yep who wants to be like everyone else???

Well Paul, it could be worse, he could take after someone else! sounds like he is on the right path to me! My boys are older now but I still remember my eldest doing shit like that, we are their roll models for sure!!

You're right on this one brother. Here is what my 14 year just did to his mountain bike. Stripped it down to the frame and came up with this paint job.

He sanded it down, primed in white and then spent almost 6 hours with a Sharpie before putting on the clear coat. Gotta tell ya, it does look totally cool. The picture really doesn't do justice to all the detail he put into it. I think he may have gotten the basic idea off the internet, but the execution was all him.

Speaking of "being in the blood", as soon as he got done, he had to take after his old man like this..

Thanks! I know what you mean. Definitely need to look into that. He has always been seriously into the cars and bikes, but wants to be an architect. I'm cool with that too!
