Wow Ray! Sorry to hear you experienced this type of trauma, but your story is encouraging. I am meeting with the Trauma Team this morning to discuss Andys condition and treatment. I will post the results of the meeting. Last night they said they will drill a hole in is skull to drain fluid off the brain. This would help him retain motor skills......they hope.
Thank you all again for caring and supporting us with prayers and well wishes.
The main thing is to stay encouraged as possible and positive at any signs of improvement, keep the Faith, ( talk to God about all your concerns, 24/7 He is never too busy!)! I know that sounds easy, and everyday it will seem a bit easier if that even seems possible now. When I was injured they said"The Dr. and nurses" , now it is an entire team of professionals constantly giving the very best care possible, with much, much better equipment/ knowledge too.
There are several forum members that are praying for Andy and Cindy everyday without fail. Everyone is concerned. There are several of us that would be there everyday with our support if that where possible, it is not so we keep you in our prayers as if you were family. I could quote a bunch of Bible scriptures, which I read a lot, But let me share with you, you can share with Andy, what is said to be the most famous speach Winston Churchill was ever said to have given when the German's were bombing England. I remind myself of this from time to time also. Winston Churchill speaking to the people of England said, and I quote, "Never give up!, Never give up! Never give up!!". From what I have read not only was this said to be the greatest speech the English people said Churchill ever gave, it was a major turning point in the war.
May God be with Andrew and Cindy through this entire time of Andrew's injury to not only bring complete healing to Andrew, but also to bring strength for them both to as Churchill said, Never give up, Never ever give up! May The God of Heaven, the Lord of Heaven's Armies let His angels be there for them both to stand guard and let nothing become a set back for Andrew's full and complete recovery. I/we ask You Father God to direct every decision, every action taken by the team of medical professionals that are taking care of Andrew, that everything done to Andrew and for Andrew would be in Andrew very best interest in helping Andrew make a full and complete recovery as soon as possible. I thank you Father for hearing the prayers that we ask of You, You are our help always and I thank You,
In Jesus' name I ask,
A-men.
