Is my dog wired with the RIP kit or the DOC kit or neither?

so i had just bought a 2010 K9 EFI and when i bought the bike the guy had told me it had been rewired to fix the EHC issues, i had also rode the bike and didnt have any lights or issues, so after about a week of having the bike the check engine light comes on every ride and it seems to have gremlins in the bike, one of the times the engine light came on the bike seem to die for a split second ( this was the only time the engine light has effected the performance ), another time the speedo died (mileage died, not the speedo needle) for another short ride, this morning head light seems to dim just a touch and then come back, but on every ride the light does come on but doesn't affect anything running wise and the check engine light usually never stays on, just weird things, so my question is how do i know if a modification wiring has been done and how done i know what Mod has been done ?
I have tried to connect the protune progam, but i cant get the Protune Program to see the bike, i have modded cable like the video shows.

According to the tag on the wire, that is the wire plus system.
is that a good MOD, is this type of MOD a system that has issues? i guess i should get the Protune to work , does any one the exact serial cable i need to buy to make the protune system recognize the bike, i have a usb laptop and the 9 pin serial plug on the bike side, Thanks again for the help.

Well, I have a Wire Plus on mine, it has been working OK. Would I rather have any of the other options? Yes. WP looks like a mess with all those wires and some have them working well, some have problems... what can you say, if it works it's good. Of EFI I don't have the lightest idea, what is the problem with it anyway?

I have never seen a WP installed yet, what a mess! Hope you can get it working, but my choice if not is DOC's ESC for your bike, everyone has a different opinion on this, some like Doc's, some like the RIP, some like Axel's, all three are good, hope you figure it out, but it should look more like this.....Mastiff 4.jpg Mastiff 3.jpg

When the wire plus is installed many wires have to be cut, so this change over will not be plug and play with any of these replacements.
My .02 would be to contact DOC and speak to Jeff about your situation I believe he will give you the best Customer Service.

Your bike has allot of symptoms. To take a stab I would look through your wiring to see if there are any loose connections or bare (exposed) wires. Also check your headlight plug. Mine had originally melted and caused all kinds of issues mainly the headlight. I have had good luck with the wire plus system , at the time that was my only option. Also check check all of the jst and Deutch pin connections. Good luck

thanks , i am going to go thru all the wiring and check connections and lube the connectors ( with electric grease) and so on, but thanks guys for all the responses
