Yep, but I unplug it when not riding or on a tender. Most Batteries don't like it when drained by a small load over a long time. I pisses me off too when I go to run my boat and it goes click! Fortunately, it is a deep cycle and I can recharge it.

Today i'm thinking head light bucket.... that way I don't have to run any wires.... the controller is small enough to fit inside, and I can connect my ground and power wire inside the bucket .... I'm going with the power side of the Low Beam... Figured I can RTV the controller to the inside of the bucket so it isn't bouncing around ... drill a hole in the bucket for the indicator light and insert a rubber grommet, a little RTV to hold it in place... it will energize with the key on probably change my mind tomorrow

Where did you end up mounting?
I just ordered from WSW. Thinking coil cover but until I have it in hand, hard to visualize.
Also, on a switch or let it glow all the time?
I'm on a tender so only an issue when traveling.

I wired directly to the battery with and on / off toggle switch, I did not want this in any part of the electrical system that's tied into the EHC. It is a pain to rememebr to turn it on and off, do you think tying it into a "hot" switched wire such as the headlight wire that you mentioned would hurt the EHC?

I thought the battery miner that I bought was defective, it was always Red and I'm always on the Battery tender.
So I look a little further and meter the batt...less than 12 volts while running....long story short, I spun the rotor and took out the magnets, stator.
Now with a new regulator also the light of almost always green, and the bike starts better than it ever has(even new).

My good friend Jeff @ DOC suggest the headlight idea would be to much draw on the EHC ..

hey Franco,
I got mine installed underneath the speedometer; the LED indicator light is reflected on the tank (works fine during sunshine - at least on my black tank).

Curtis (WSW) has a pix on his website, where you see how it reflects on the tank.

1. If I were to wire up a unit as such on my [bike] are you kidding I pick up a drill and aim it at a BD? No way!
2. As I think this out, I might be looking at a heat sink. Ah, find a cool place and add air.
3. How easy would it be, I bend over to look at the bottom of my tank, I have 2 tiny nuts glued first on the plate. I then take that blue painting tape, dab my 2 nuts, place my LED's to the outside so I take a quick peek, tape it there and wait 24 hours or less to pull the tape off.
4. And if I don't like it or want it someplace else years down the road, I pull the glue off and not a mark or chip comes with it. Practice on parts and pull. You'll see what I mean.
