Interesting ride on Victory Hammer

First off... I think Victory Motorcycles makes a great product for the price so this is not meant to slam Victory.

My Mutt is the first cruiser/custom I've ever owned... previously rode many different rice rockets.

The other day, I took my buddies Victory Hammer out for a day's ride with my girlfriend on the back, (I wasn't able to ride my mutt due to picking up something that sliced open my rear tire). Holly smoke was it ever an UNCOMFORTABLE ride for both of us! I honestly expected it to be a comfortable ride and so did my girlfriend but boy were we wrong. It was 200 mile day and both of our ass's were going numb at about mile 60! My right hand goes numb on my mutt from time to time but it went numb about every 5 miles on the Hammer and leg position didn't work for me either. Something else to point out that surprised me was how it was like rolling a beached whale around curves!

Again, I'm not trying to bash Victory... I just thought it was interesting that not only I but my girlfriend as well thought my mutt is so much more comfortable!

I hear ya.....but think it's an unfair comparison. The Hammer is basically a VROD compete. The rear seat is basically non-existent, so I feel for your gal. Yikes!

A more fair comparison might be a Jackpot, but the "bandit" saddle's passenger seat if even worse. If you want to ride 2up on a Jackpot, you'll want a solo saddle with a passenger seat (rather than the stock bandit style). Unfortunately, the Hammer really doesn't have a 2up story and the Jackpot 2up comes at an additional price/set-up.

If you want Victory performance with badass fat tire style, check out the Ness Lowliner V!

Otherwise, to ride 2up on Victory, you'll have to jump into their cruiser line-up.....
