Hey guys,
got my Arlen Ness mirrors and got them installed. Took 5 minutes. Great product. Big improvement not only on looks, but I can actually see whats behind me now. The stock mirrors vibrated so badly that one car looked liked 4 cars. Thanks to everyone who helped me order the correct stuff.

Here they are installed on the 03 chopper.

Just my advice, remove the mirror from the stand. The stem that connects the mirror to the stand. Clean the threads and green lock tight them now. After it come loose from the big dog vibrations several times it destroys the threads. Preventive maintenance is your best friend with any aftermarket mirror. Keep em tight the first time! Looks cool!

Hi Bikers dream,
I actually used red loc tite cause it was all I had. I need to get some green.

I actually didn't use the stems from arlen ness. I just unscrewed my stock ones, cleaned the threads, and applied the red loc tite. It seemed to work well. So far they have stayed tight. But you know how the mirrors are with all the vibration from these dogs. The left one always loosens up after a while. My feeling is, its because the wind is pushing on that one in the direction to loosen it. The left one should be reversed threaded instead, then that wouldn't happen.

Same here. My Ness mirrors never stayed put so use some strong loctite or it will ruin your controls.

Oppps, just saw you didn't use the stems. That was the problem with mine.

It was nice that the 03s don't need the adaptors. Just unscrewed the old mirrors leaving the factory posts, cleaned the posts, added loc tite, and put the new mirrors on. I wish I had some green loc tite, and I need to get some, but the red seems to be working. They went on very tight as they got to the bottom, so maybe I'll get lucky and they will stay tight.

They have been on for a week and so far, haven't loosened up at all. My factory ones would have the left one loosen up every time I got on the gas hard.
