inquiry on checking old on 05 chopper

Hey gang,

I need to know how to PROPERLY have the correct amt of oil .

I put in 3.75 as manual states. but i look in hole under seat and i can literally see the oil. I think this is too much. MY cap doens't come with a dipstick
how really how is a person to gauge?

If you see oil in the oil tank at the bottom then its full most I could get in is 2.75 quarts with filter.You are talking about engine oil correct?

If you have to much oil it will puke through the breather. I can only put 3 in my 04. I can put more but it will puke bad.

05 chopper has a double 90 at the top of the tank, I keep it just to where I can see it at the middle if the 90. Not sure what it comes to exactly in QT's..
