Oh shit, that sucks! what year? I know some years were prone to this happening. Did you find a replacement?

06 mastiff. 7k miles on the bike. Haven't sourced new part yet. Baker said they had plenty though. Putting together a parts list now.

Glad to hear they are still available, my 05 Chopper has over 11,000 and so far so good. Although I did just replaced a busted clutch carrier, also common on these years, so if it hasn't been done yet, now is the time!

05/06 and early 07 was the information passed around before.

Of course my K9 is #31 I'd say that's early 07 unfortunately. Have about 11K on it ....knocking on wood as we speak!

Back together now. Running great. Two week downtime and I did the work myself. $300 for shaft and seals. Not too bad I guess.

Did you guys have to remove the tranny to replace the main shaft & seals?
Getting ready to do this on my 05 Ridgeback this winter just to be safe.

Yes. The shaft is press fit.
