Incredibly dumb question

I was doing the front forks and neck bearings. When I disconnected the harness under the gas tank I discovered an empty connector . Can anyone tell me what this is for?

Its for the optional Tach - I recently installed one on my 05 Pit

So you could mount a really cool 6" dia. racing tach up on the bars and look fast
