Ignition coil for 04 RB

hey guys I did a search and can’t seem to find anything. I have been having some sluggish power on my 04 Ridgeback. I have tried new plugs and no change. I took my coil cover off and low and behold a strong odor of burnt electronics was undeniable. And it’s a cheap dynatek brand so anyone wanna recommend me a good coil and the correct one for my bike?

Not much about coils... just a few old threads:

Someone will be of more help than I shortly!

:chopper:

Thanks man I’ll do some reading. I’m having some weird issue. One minute at steady throttle it holds steady then the next I’m having to add a little throttle to maintain speed. Mainly at low cruise rpm 1800-2000ish rpm. The coil reeks of burnt electronics.

It does have 2 wires. One wire for one lug, one for the other. I did find that inside the plug wire hole on the coil for the back cylinder there was a bunch of black residue. I took some cleaner and what came out of there was unbelievable. Just crud and muck. I just took it for a spin and it runs like never before. I’m gonna wait til I can go on a long trip and see how it behaves then. May have just solved the problem. Lol

I need a few things other than just a coil. Miscellaneous items for my bike. Gas tank bolts, rear pegs, things like that. That’s why i have been trying to contact them.

Thanks man. You’re starting to be my go to guy for bigdog stuff lol. Btw, bearings are in and no more racket in the rear tire and belt. :whoop:
Glad the bearings worked for you. I try to support the vendors that try to carry what we need. Donna and Derek usually get back when you text. They are probably really busy with the warmer weather and there other chores.
