Update: Spyke coils makes a compact unit whose #s match factory ohm needs primary and secondary. Depth wise it was a 1/4" deeper. Mounting bolts and washer's shims needed. Simple fix. Able to maintain factory cover. This was on dual fire coil.
I'm looking for a replacemnet coil suggestion as I'm getting 8k ohms on the secondary and spark is pretty meager. Primary is fine at 3.4 ohm. Replaced plug wires initially as had one bad wire also. Any idea what was original to this bike as it's a tight fit and my coil doesn't have any marking. It's a 3ohm dual fire cylindrical about 2 inches long and 1 1/2 " dia. if you have any suggestions its paired with a Dyna ignition 2000i I believe?
