I will Transport

$50.00 FOR EVERY 500 MILES pays my gas
$100.00 for 500 miles or less
$200.00 for 500 to 1000 miles
$350.00 for 1000 to 1500 miles
$400.00 for 1500 to 2000 miles
So if i haul a bike for you 1000 miles the cost is $ 300.00 that covers my gas to you. and the other $200.00 fee. I would use another $100 in gas to get home my profit would be $200.00. Thats not much profit considering wear and tear on my truck. And the time it takes to run the 1000 miles. I want to offer a service for those that buy a bike from another town or state. Those who want to run a cross country ride without renting a bike and booking flight tickets. I will carry you and the bike to the start point of the run or pick you up after a run. This service will help with people that dont have the time to ride across country to start a run. I can carry your bike without you while you are working and pick you up at the airport. If you need a bike transported for any reason i can help.I believe this will beat any trucking service or commercial shipper.I have a bigdog i know how to haul one. I use only the sheepskin soft tie downs. I will HOT SHOT it for a small amount more.I know i can get your bike to the destination you want quicker than someone who has to log there miles. I can drive 1000 miles straight easily and further if i have to with no rest.I thought about this earlier today. I took a bike for a friends work partner 300 miles for some engine work.He is working a turnaround at a local plant and has no time. He payed me 50 cents a mile and $150.I just think i could save the forum members some money. For the time i put in i wont make much. I am wanting to do this to get out of the house see the country and meet some of you guys. PLEASE RESPOND AND LET ME KNOW HOW ALL OF YOU FEEL IF THIS IS A GOOD IDEA OR NOT... Thanks Rob...:D :flag:  :job:  :argue: :whoop:  :2thumbs: :spank:  :hi:   :bang: :loony:     :( :) I CAN TAKE EACH ONE OF THESE I AM NOT A PUSS    Sorry about the edit i changed from 50 cents a gallon to a mile i geuss i was tired

SORRY about the rates above but gas prices are climbing fast i have made hauls at 50 cents a mile and it works out pretty good charging to the location the bike is at and the delivery spot. No charge for my miles back home...

My 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD costs me about $113.00 per 1,000 miles on the Hwy at $2.10 per gallon. Sounds like a super deal to me.

You are onto something here if you keep it small.

Just remember though :.
I know i can get your bike to the destination you want quicker than someone who has to log there miles.
If these pro drivers are running a team, they run 24 hours a day, legally.

Not a bad idea for someone that'll take the time out to do that sort or work for people.

It really is a good way for you to see different parts of the USA if it is really what you want to do.

Good luck with your new found business,if that's what you want to pursue.

Good idea, but what are you going to haul them in, inclosed, multiple bikes? say a bunch from Michigan want to be transported to Fl. And what about insurance's in case something were to happen.
