I Think My Wife Made Out

I think my wife probably made out better than me this year for Christmas. I got her one of the new, remote controlled iRobot Roomba. So, she has to do absolutely nothing once it is programmed. She can sit, watch her soap opera's and drink wine, all the while this thing races around cleaning room to room.

I on the other hand received a HD Ultra and a Mossberg Silver Reserve O/U. Both of which are going to require work on my part. I'll have to ride the motorcycle, maintain it, gas it up, clean it etc. Same goes for the new shotgun. Meanwhile, she can be sitting there, drinking her wine, while the Roomba does all the work.

I don't know.....What do ya' think?

She actually expressed an interest in doing more long distance travel by motorcycle, just not on the dog. (We did a long cross country trip to Rolling Thunder a few years ago, and by the time we hit the midwest, it was cold and rain. It rained harder than I had ever seen it all the way to DC, then mostly rained for the 4 days there, and on the way back it was sleet and rain). So, we went to the local dealer (HD of Scottsdale) where I have some friends who work there. After a few test rides (Road Glide Fairing and regular fairing), we both decided we liked this one best.

So, will be heading out for another ride in just a few minutes.

No, I did not get rid of the dog, that will be my day to day and when it's just me riding, motorcycle. When it's both of us we will use the Ultra.

You're so right.... women got it too easy.... I bought my wife a shop vac for her birthday years ago and she hasn't let me forget it sense.... Not only that but you will have to polish and clean the damn bike too while she rides on the back care free.... I feel SO sorry for you bro....

Alicia never cleans her nightster and rides it worry free!:oldbang: But it's a small price to pay I'd much rather ride solo than 2 up easpecialy on my pitbull :oldhardlaugh:
I don't know about you but I prefer my gal on the back at least I know what's going on. My late wife rode her own bike and went down in the rain and lost her hearing in the right ear. She then broke both of her ankles and then got sideswiped by a car.... Too much worry for me what's going on behind me to enjoy the ride....

I always have that kind of stuff on my mind and get stressed out about it and god forbid something were to ever happen I know I'd blame myself for it but I also have to keep in mind that it's a choice she made also she loves riding her own bike and knows the risks involved
But you WILL blame yourself when it happens and worry about it all the time you are riding.... Good luck... My current wife #4 rode dirt bikes and raced before she met me and wanted her own bike. I told her no way... If you want your own bike then find someone else to worry about you.... she is now happy to just waltz out and ride after I fix/polish the bike...

:old2:The other bonus is that Sue has no interest in riding herself, she enjoys the ride and the fact that she doesn't have to pay attention to driving. I know I would worry about her if she rode

I ride solo and my wife rides her own bike as well. That's who we are. I have always rode solo and prefer it and Angela is very independent. I worry about her of course but, she reminds me, she can handle herself. On the other hand she does have a lot of time in the seat and experience behind her, (years or riding solo on multiple bikes in multiple states and traffic conditions, motorcross, trail riding, etc). Typically she rides in front of me so I can keep an eye on the surroundings. We also do not touch interstates. We love it this way. :old2::chopper:

Roaddawg, how dare she, :oldhardlaugh:that's pretty rough man, but we do what we can for the ones we love my friend. Keep that scoot clean:cheers::old2:

As a female answering this post,... I've ridden since I was a teenage tomboy bought my first one at the age of 15. I've been down always someone on four wheels not seeing me. I sold my 1970 900 cc Ironhead rigid about 9 years ago to a family friend who had been driving me crazy to sell it to him. I did, he wrecked it within the first week told him not to drink and ride he would forget what side the shifter was on. Didn't do much damage to the bike. He took a couple weeks off. So this summer my husband of 14 years went a got a new Harley, I rode bitch twice drove me crazy it'd so boring on the back. So needless to say I ran across a 1998 Big Dog Pitbull, at a VERY reasonable price and it is now at my house. Told hubby he can ride his and to stay off of mine! It is a choice to ride and I admit there are a lot of ladies(and men) out there who should not be riding just because they do not have the frame of mind or the courage to go through some things that happen while riding. But my husband ever told me it's either pack bitch or get on down the road my shit would be strapped to the fender and I wouldn't look back. So I'm back in the saddle again just like when I met my husband at Daytona Bike Week in 2003. So keep the shiny side up. And I think I got the best Xmas present even if I did buy it myself!!
