That same relay control from the EHC supplies power to the ignition coil, the oxygen sensors and the fuel injectors.
I think it's time to replace the EHC

So if it's the s&s vfi unit you need, curtis@wild steed can get it. S&S won't sell to you unless your a distributor. Or at least that's what they told me when I replaced my vfi module. That is also about 5-600 $ but personally I think it's your harness.

Well I would call doc and tell him what kinds of things you are dealing with. I also think that being that your bike is fuel injected that you might be having trouble with your fuel pump and or fuel management system like Viking and the other bagger guys are having. Check into the bagger posts to see if you have any of their issues from what I read on them it sounds like you are having a lot of the same problems. But please call doc he will help you with whatever he can and won't try to sell you anything he leaves all the options up to you.

Did the EHC replacement fix your issues? I have the same bike and have been having the same issues as you. Now it's to the point where I can hit the run button, wait a few mins not touching the bike and then it will magically prime itself.
Mine started like you, about 5yrs ago with the odd random check eng light and cutting out, then come back to life. Now I can't even get out the driveway without it cutting out. The exact same symptoms as you.
