I think I fried my bike... 2000 Pro Sport

Ok guys, I tried to start my bike (2000 Pro Sport) and it tried to start but everything just stopped. My Speedometer is stuck at 85 MPH. I turn the key and nothing turns on, no lights, NOTHING!

Is there a certain relay or fuse that I may have blown?

HELP!!!!

Last battery I killed...Due to a bad VR...my Chopper Speedometer stuck... no head lights... I feared I had fried it as well.... I realized my battery wouldn't take charge...installed my buddies Harley battery...and it would start up.... have your battery checked out...then check your charging system...

That makes sense now. I've been having troubles with my battery staying charged. Battery is good but the bike isn't charging it. I have to recharge every 2 days after riding. Where can I get a new VR?

For your Bike I think you can get a VR at a H-D store. I am not too sure but 04 and before BDM can find certain parts at HD. I could be wrong but it won't the first time. :whoop:

Get a good battery not a cheap interstate one. You need high cranking amps to turn over that 107 without compression releases. Also get a digital volt meter so you can check you're charging system. There are plenty of threads on the forum about this. Got any pics of you're bike?

Looking forward to retirement
Sounds like a great winter project, grab a Harber freight lift, modify the front wheel chock, and over a 4 month time frame take your time and replace it all. And yes 95% of your VR, Stator, grips ect. ect...... Will exchange with HD stuff. I have a 2003 chopper
