i need me some help

well i got on the dog today started her up and she stayed at an idle for about a minute and then shut off so i strted her back up ran alittle longer and then i popped it in first went to take off and then it started spittin and back firing then stalled same thing over and over again what is the deal now one thing not good on my part when i bought it was ran on 91 octane i did not know this and put 86 in it but it ran fine all the way home about 20 miles or so but could it be the change in the gas please help and thank you in advance

Perhaps the gas tank is not venting. Try loosening the gas cap (or removing it) and see if that helps. My .02

How long has it been since you rode it last?
How long have you owned it and how often have you been using Regular?
When was the last service?
When was the last time the tank petcock filter was cleaned?
When was the last time the air filter was cleaned.
Takes a bit more info to troubleshoot something like this?

rode it yesterday ran just fine its only had about 25-30miles of regular ran thru it it was serviced 1 month ago and both filters im not sure on to be honest

hell i think it was valero either there or 7-11

If it were my ride I would do the following first, remember this is just me and Im no professional mechanic although I have been working on my own ride for 8 or nine years:
Drain the tank
Drop the petcock and make sure the tank filter is clean
Drain the carb
Drop the bowl and make sure its clean and all passages are clean
Pull plugs and if in doubt replace them
Fill tank with Premium
Pull air cleaner cover and if dirty replace, clean if K&N or other
Try again

Logic dictates that if it ran fine before the unleaded then it was something in the fuel

Sounds like you may have the enrichener open. Make sure its pushed all the way down.

You may also have an air leak from the intake. Mine was doing the same thing and one of the rubber plugs came off one of the ports on the carb.
