Hey guys thinking about running new bars and internal wiring on my 2006 mastiff RSD wanted to put a hydraulic clutch to help hide the cables cleaner called baker and was told the way the tranny was design from big dog the actuators wont work to convert it over. is this true or has anyone coverted there bike to hydraulic your advise would be great..

check with forum member lambov12 he ran a hydraulic master cylinder to a slave cylinder actuator that used a cable on the trans end.

Running a hydro clutch on mine. Had to go with a whole new actuator and cover, but works great!

our rsd cover has a different bolt pattern then jim's or oem baker. which is the same as most aftermarket covers.

so the slave cylinder as Al mentioned is your only bet with the BD/baker trans.

here's the difference in bolt pattern i traced when i was trying to solve my chain drive dilemma.

the "old" is the BD cover

the "new" is an adtermarket which is the same as most if not all rsd covers.

that left side boss is what my chain was chowing on cause its so low.

MARV makes a good point. Mine is a 2004 and is actually a Baker 6-speed in a Jim's Case. Made a call to the factory to have them explain that one!

I'd forgotten the hassle he went through when he swapped over to the "chain gang"
