HOW TO TAKE CARE OF A GAS TANK BEFORE SHIPPING IT?

Hi,

I recently bought a complete body kit for my 05 Ridgeback because i wanted to change the look of my bike.

Problem is that the tank does not fit my bike because they were from a 2006 (was not aware of that before i bought it) and now i am stuck with it, because the seller does not accept returns.

I am thinking to sell it online but since it had a little gas on it, I dont know what to do in order to clean the gas before i ship it out.

Any ideas?

Sell it to Raywood he runs out off gas at least once a month and may need two tanks. One on the Dog and one in his backpack. :lol: :lol: :roll:

Shake the gas out of it and set it outside for a couple hours it will be ok to ship.I might have a tank to trade you.I forgot the year and make of the tank i bought from bikerbabe.If i remember right it was a 04 or 05 Ridgeback or chopper she will know what it was. I double checked the kit and it is for a 2006 & 2007 Ridgeback so the rear fender is completely different to the K9.

Thanks for the tip and the offer, but the tank has to be the same design of the kit i got (flat black with girl and dice) since i have my stock body kit.

I returned a tank to BD a few years back and they requested I flush it with 50/50 water and vinegar, the acid in the vinegar will rust any bare metal so it would also need to be flushed with distilled water.

Yaul have at it as I dont care for the matte finish but 750 is a killer price that is like a level four paint job making it a helluva buy..
