How to remove Bolts with Red Loctite

Question on coil cover head bolts......I replaced the coil cover / motor mount bolts with the longer ones as everyone suggested, one per head. I applied red loctite also. I tried to remove one the other day and it felt like I would snap the bolt before it would loosen. So I left it as is......... I know everyone says to heat bolts with red loctlit but I don't like the idea of applying a torch to polished aluminum heads. Any other ideas on how to loosen these bolts...do the heads have helicoils or just tapped? Thanks for any help?

If the motor runs, fire it up and it will heat up in a few minutes. Mine looked like they are just drilled and tapped.

A good solder gun will have enough heat to break down the red loctite.

You will have to work fast, though as the engine is a big heat sink.

Nice cheap($9) Harbor Freight dual temp heat gun. No open flame, great heat; 700-1500 watts. I use mine all the time. Helps loosen stuck or Loctite coated bolts, takes care of heat shrink tubing, great for shrink fit appications. Just my opinion.
