I went with new pipes that dont cover the exhaust bracket on the lower frame. I thought I saw some folks mod up a cover but cant find the pic or what they did.......What have you done to cover the bracket other than cut it off?

The best looking setup I have seen on a unused exhaust bracket was somebody picked up a couple 1" threaded spikes and put bolts in from the back side so that there was just two small spikes filling the holes.

It looked good I thought!!!

I have been through this delima myself! One option is to have the bracket cut off, sanded down and painted. This will be the most costly but cleanest option. Gateway bigdog told me that they could make a billet cover to go over the bracket and you could have it chromed or painted or powdered...whatever you like. However, in my opinion, this causes even more attention to that area of the bike. If you opt for the removal of the bracket it drastically limits the options for you or future owners of the bike. I decided to keep the BR's on my bike just because of this subject.

I outlined the area on paper, made a cardboard template and had a local shop cut me a piece of sheet metal, then chromed it.
