How Many Miles On Your DOG

I'm about to get me 07 Mastiff and I want to see how many miles do owners have on their bikes. I used to have a Ridgeback but now I want to do some longer trips (1k miles and up) and want to see if I can expect any problems. I have seen some bikes with 20k on them. Any one has more? At which point does the engine get rebuild?
Thank you

It’s been discussed on this forum a lot but I didn’t look for the past discussions.

I have 45K on my 2004 Chopper I have rebuilt the engine back in 2009 due to front cylinder gasket let loose in 120 degree temp at 100 MPH coming back from AZ Bike week that was 15K miles ago and have a very reliable bike. I just de-brained the bike and now I feel 100% to take the bike anywhere any distance. I don’t mind riding 1000 miles in a day if I have time to kill.

Every dog is different and some people complain I just throw a wrench and fix the issues and try to stay on top of the maintenance.

Closing in on 25k on my 04 Pit. Motors still strong. Take a look at the owners showcase at BDPP. They list miles and models, may help ya out?

I think Raywood did a top end on his 05 a few years ago at 45K because he heard a noise. It later turned out that the noise had nothing to do with the motor. So at least 45K with maintenance.

I am at 70k with a re-build 4k ago on a 2000 Vintage with 107 S&S with 90% over 1k rides up to 6k long. Now with restoration in place ready to go do it again. Very confident in my bike.

26K on my 07 K9. Would be a lot more but not as much time the last few years for trips.
I'm almost certain Raywood has over 100k now.

24,000 on my 06 k9. Still running good and I have the TP rocker boxes. Work is always getting in the way of riding.

Ridgebacks Rule!

Help!!

When you guys say "maintenance"...
Still trying to get a feel for how important it is to change out the lifters at 25k miles as recommended by S&S.:(

I've got 22k on my 107 with no problems (with the engine anyways).:2thumbs:
I run Mobil1 15w50 and it runs great!:whoop:

Just turned 60,000 on my 07 K9. Only significant repairs was Head Gaskets at 45,000 miles (10.5:1 CR)and replaced lifters at 25,000 and 50,000 miles

18K+ on the '04 Mastiff. Just did the WP last year. Otherwise, pretty routine stuff and running strong!
