How easy is it, if even possible to put rear shox on a Pitbull?

05 & 06 Pitbull and Mastiff's are the same except for one is a hardtail and the other is a softail!!
But Mastiff had a 250mm tire and the Pitbull had a 300mm tire.
In 07 both bikes had the same size rear tire.

If you want shocks get the Mastiff if you want a hartail get the Pitbull.

With the rebate deals Big Dog is offering right now (even on their '09 models), I would seriously look at trading your bike in...unless you're looking for an extreme garage project whose reward will be lots of headache and frustration at best...no plus side to what you're contemplating, in my opinion..:bang: :angry: :loony:

get a softail and then you can get some struts (JP cycles do them) which you can put in place of the shocks. Thats the best way to my mind if you want to be in both worlds.

Can't be done, the whole rear of the bike would have to be re-worked. Buy a softail, or a rigid. Not practical to change one to the other.
