How do you remove gas tank ???

I am trying to waterproof my electrical connections. However, I have to remove the gas tank to start the process. I have a 2007 K9 and I was able to remove the foward bolts, but there seems to be something hold it in place towards the seat. I did try to pull it forward, but wouldn't budge. I do not see any other bolts. Can someone HELP ? ? ?

there is a link in the tech section "HOW TOOS" on how to remove yuour speedo...the first step is removing the tank....Has pics too

it has to push forward toward the handlebars, just be careful not to hit the speedo. maybe try a hammer, it worked for polak.:roll:

Once you remove the 2 bolts holding the gas tank on, you have to slide the tank rearwards to remove on the 07 K9. I had to give the tank a good hit with the flat of my hand to get it to move. Good luck.
