How do I remove the imitation gas cap

I'm painting my bike and I wanna remove the imitation cm gas cap on left side of the tank. Is it even possible? Help!

Never known of a BD to have an imitation cap on the left side. My Mastiff had both of them. The left side is reverse threaded you know
