how can you tell???

how can i tell which carb i have on my bike a G or an E ,i read in a post this mornin whereas after 06 they came stock with G's before hand it was all E carbs...is there a marking,a distinct casting feature?????????

My 07 K-9 has the "G" Carb. On the side of the Carb (towards the back side of the bike), there is the letter "G" stamped into the metal.

Frizzle's got it right.....there will be a G stamped on side of the carb..
