How can you tell if a K9 has been rewired?

Hope to look at a K9 this weekend owner says the wiring was redone by a dealer. How can I tell if it was done and done right?

The bike will not have an EHC (electrical harness control) It is a computer by the battery that has a bunch of little lights on it. Call up "wire plus" and see what this system looks like, that may be what it has been re-wired with.

The seller says the horn relay was never installed and when you blow the horn the motor shuts down. Dealer didn't have the relay at the time of install and sent it to him. Speedometer is shutting off also or something like that, I don't know what to think!

my .02 unless it is 2-3k less then what others are selling for....take a pass...sounds like your going to be shelling out some $$$ in the not to distant future for repairs.

Yup!! Something's were def. F-d up when re-wire was done. Hit him low and stay there. Either you are going to get real familiar with your wiring or pay a shop to straighten it out. Either way you should get a break for the agrivation. Just my $.02

hell that sounds like a bunch of ground wires bad..... It should defiantly have a wire plus or a "cough"PDM kit...... Alright pdm`s arent that bad once you go though the hole damn thing fixing all the screw ups from some other person that though he new what what he was doing LOL!!!

You have a PDM kit installed and it wasn't updated. Nothing to worry about you can fix it. It was a hiccup that Big Dog over-looked when they produced that kit. Do a search and I'm sure you will find the remedy...:2thumbs:

I think I would pass on it unless you are not scared to dive into the wiring. You can probably bring down the price a lot.

Bigdog had an update for the PDM kit. It was a horn relay. They sent me my horn relay about 5 months after to complete the kit. The way the bike is acting is normal.
