I have an 07 k-9. When I go to start the bike it sounds the horn and turn signals flash. The starter tries to engage only once. I've looked I've searched. Can't find the answer. Battery is good bike is garaged when not being driven. Please help

Sounds like the battery. Check the wires going to the battery and make sure there tight and have the battery load tested. The horn beeping and turn signals flashing is a week battery indicator. Make sure the battery has at least 12.8v

She blows and flashes?

Sounds like a good deal to me!

Seriously: Are the idiot light turn signals flashing ? or are they signals themselves actually flashing on bike. Could be the battery like Alan suggest. I would ensure your ground is clean and tight. As well as unhook your EHC plugs and clean/pack with di-electric grease.

My 2006 K9 just did the SAME EXACT thing you describe. My brother stopped by and told me I flooded it by pumping the gas before I started it. He pulled my plugs out, cranked it over, put the plugs back in (made sure plugs weren't wet). DO NOT PUMP the throttle, then it should fire right up.

Fully charge the battery and let it sit for at least an hour OFF the charger then measure the voltage of the battery.....it should be a minimum of 12.8v.

The battery must be kept on a Battery Tender Jr. maintenance charger or similar GOOD device any time the bike is sitting in the garage.

Clean the battery terminals and cables with either a wire brush or emery cloth.

When you reinstall all the wires back onto the battery terminals make sure you place the main battery cables next to the battery terminal or LAST one onto the battery bolt.
