TSAATU NATSU ... GOOD MEDICINE

TSAATU NATSU is the Comanche way of expressing “Good Medicine”. The organizers of the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge have chosen “Good Medicine” as theme of the 2018 Challenge because the experience of long distance riding gives participants time to think; often restoring beliefs and perspectives.

The Hoka Hey Motorcyclale Challenge is journey within that begins onJULY 15, 2018from Medicine Park, OK. This event will remain entirely within the LOWER 48 STATES and will run nearly 10,000 MILES before heading back to Medicine Park for the finish line. As always the Challenge will culminate with a sensational END OF THE ROAD PARTY which will be held on JULY 28th!!

Embodying the spirit of the traditional vision quest (a deep, inward search for transformation and insight), the trying circumstances of the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge will force riders to discover their own boundaries of personal strength and to redefine the way they see the world.

TSAATU NATSU fortifies the standard of RESPECT:

The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge takes it back to basics by striping you of the modern conveniences and leaving you to find your way the OLD SCHOOL WAY!!

  • Without the assistance of electronic navigation aids
  • Sleeping beside your pony whenever and wherever your body demands
  • Only the highway and your own thoughts for company

The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge uses TSAATU NATSU to transform itself from a long distance motorcycle ride into a life changing event; especially for those who ride it with RESPECT for tradition and heritage.

TSAATU NATSU will be a quest for HONOR:

Challenge participants become willing to do without a few luxuries for the short duration of the event in order to test their own mettle.

Much more than a soldier who protects and defends the people; a warrior is a teacher, a mentor, a guide and a provider who lends strength to the people and is attentive to their needs. The stronger the warrior is – the stronger the people are. TSAATU NATSU honors the warrior spirit which always surfaces for anyone who runs this demanding Challenge with tenacity and heart.

TSAATU NATSU is the pursuit of INTEGRITY:

The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge is a cross country endurance ride designed to get participants out of their comfort zone and into places they might otherwise never go. The ride will pit participants against the road and Mother Nature along some of the most winding two lane roads in America! We provide you with the driving directions that will take you along a route that will challenge your technical riding abilities as well as your navigational skills.

Alone on the road, the greatest battle will often take place within and it is at moments like these when true warriors take stock of what is most important and rethink their motives, their actions and their beliefs.

Only a true warrior will rally when faced with such great odds and uncertainty and only those with genuine INTEGRITY will stay true to their ideals, beliefs and commitments when faced with such harsh conditions.

TSAATU NATSU will be a calling of COMPASSION:

The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge will endeavor to convince participants that the things we do for others can have the power to transform, enrich, and even complete us.

This event isn’t about what you can get out of it... It’s what you put in to it that matters. In 2018, just as in years past, our Challengers will be encouraged to conduct fund raising on behalf of any charity they choose.

The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge not only opens new paths for both personal and spiritual growth but it may just inspire the COMPASSION to do something about it. This year’s goal is to raise a minimum of $150,000 for charities seeking the cure of diseases, the improvement of living conditions in the poorest communities, safe havens for battered women and so many more concerns that plague society today.

TSAATU NATSU… Because riding your steel horse; wind in your face, sun on your shoulders and tires burning up the pavement is heals the soul... But, finding that peace on the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge is Good Medicine!
