Hi all, having an issue where my high beam is stuck on... as with other threads ive read on this, when I hit the low beam switch the high beam just flickers. I took apart the bucket and the bulb filliments/bulb plug look great.(although when I put it back together the allen set screw for the beauty ring went to far in, is crooked and stripped-FML!) I did notice the red light on the EHC flickers with my high beam when I try to go to low beams. Any idears????!!!! help!!! thanks all you all have been great!

As cheap as a new bulb is, and your plug and wires look good, I'd put a new one in. Sure sounds like the bulb to me.

New bulb ..... You can get that little hex head screw at a Sears hardware or ACE Hardware... Basically anywhere there is a good selection of nuts and bolts.

Agree with other, change the bulb. On the little set screw, it is very small and if you cannot find at common hardware places, try a good local hobby shop that sells R/C cars, planes and helicopters. Those R/C types use all kinds of very small set screws and more than likely has one that will fit.

I think it's a #4-40 x 1/8" setscrew.

You can tap it out to a #5-40 x 1/8" screw. Buy a thread tap and new larger setscrews from McMaster Carr. Hardware stores normally won't carry a 5-40 setscrew. Start the #5-40 tap to follow in the orginal #4-40 pitch threads.

Tap...McMaster-Carr
Setscrew...McMaster-Carr
