Howdy everyone, it's been a minute, my dogs been down for a year now and can't handle it anymore. Is a baker 6spd the only trans that will mate to a 117 s&s efi?
2008 big dog k9, hops in and out of 3rd, 4th misewell be neutral and you can't even get it into 5th or 6th.
Considering all the research I've done, pretty intimidated, almost just wanna slap a different one on and be done with it. Is that even possible? .....srry for the ignorance , I just gotta hear that sound again when ya crank on these suckers. The best. Thx

You can always pull it n ship to Andrew Barnes. He can do a rebuild cheaper than a new one. Josh @ Gateway Bigdog can also rebuild it.

Nope the Baker is the only one that will mount to your transmission plate as far as I know. Clearly you could modify it but it would be costly. Andrew Barnes can rebuild it good as new. Not cheap but worth it in the long run

You have 3 choices for rebuilding the transmission

Converting to another transmission is a HUGE and $$$$ undertaking requiruing a new primary as well and some frame/mount modifications.

It's not the S&S 117 that is the issue but the Big Dog FRAME that everything mounts to that is the issue.
